Matthew Fritz
Manager, Technology Partnerships and IP
Matt Fritz is the Manager of Technology Partnerships and Intellectual Property (TPIP) office in the Science & Technology (S&T) directorate. As the Manager of TPIP, Matt helps facilitate and execute the technology transfer mission with protection of intellectual property via patents and copyrights and development of partnerships with non-federal entities through Cooperative Research and
Development Agreements (CRADA), Agreements for Commercializing Technologies (ACT), Material Transfer Agreements (MTA), and research subcontracts with university partners. Before joining S&T, Fritz served as a Non-Destructive Assay Scientist in charge of measurements on special nuclear material in the Nuclear Material Control & Accountability group at the NNSS. Prior to joining the NNSS, Fritz founded a company focused on commercializing medical radioisotope production methods which resulted in the filing of four patents. Fritz received his nuclear engineering degree from Pennsylvania State University and earned his MBA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a concentration in New Venture Management. He previously volunteered as Executive Director of the UNLV student lead venture capital fund, Rebel Venture Fund, where he supported over $100k in angel investments.
